For a boho, outdoor dining experience, Hartwood is often regarded as one of the best restaurants in Tulum. The waits here are always long but their wood-fired dishes are some of the best. There are no reservations so I would recommend arriving early.

This is a cool chic hotel and restaurant that's kid friendly. It has a playscape in the sand by the beach. It's one of our favorite spots to come with kids and to swim and just hang on the beach all day with the beach beds.

Km 8.2 Carr. Tulum-Boca PailaThis is a cool chic hotel and restaurant that's kid friendly. It has a playscape in the sand by the beach. It's one of our favorite spots to come with kids and to swim and just hang on the beach all day with the beach beds.
This was certainly our favorite restaurant in Tulum and for good reason. Former Noma chef, Jose Luis Hinostroza heads this restaurant up. All of his dishes are incredibly flavorful and creative, utilizing local ingredients. The setting is also wonderful, relaxed, yet well-executed service.

It's a magical experience to have amazing DJ playing gentle but good music. There is a pool with a runway you can dance on like a supermodel. Very fun!

Bikes or Scooters are more useful
When getting around Tulum, sometimes it's faster by bike or scooter since the traffic is a bit messy. Rentals are everywhere or ask your concierge and we can arrange for you.

Bring Jungle Gear! CamelBack 'n' Bug Juice!
When coming to the jungle be prepared for the bugs and the humidity. We suggest Jungle Juice from REI or Amazon. This si the only one that works here it seems. Also, always carry with you a Camelback. This is a MUST have since you will need to stay hydrated. OR, fill it with your favorite cocktail and stay buzzed the whole time. LOL.

Tulum has a special mayan ruin site right on the beach, The fascinating reason why this site is more spectacular than any of the other ruins is because this site was reserved for the highest priests and intellects in the mayan society. The astronomy knowledge they had then still more advanced than our understanding of astronomy with our high tech computers. They also invented zero there. WOW!

When you arrive in Tulum, you will quickly be harassed in all direction for taxis and private services and tours. Just say NO GRACIAS and try to avoid eye contact LOL. Our car service will be in contact with you that same day if you booked with us. They will likely have a sign with your name on it so as you walk out the doors to the outside past security and all the crazy salespeople, you will see your person. if not you will have their direct number and ours.
