A small guidebook to Cala Llenya, Ibiza ♥
Best beaches
This is our local beach, one of the best and cleanest on the island. If you're a bit like us, you'll probably want to come here every day. :) You can bring your pareo and umbrella or rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach.
There is a fantastic little restaurant right on the beach, which serves great sangria, cocktails, snacks, coffee, as well as delicious meals. Check out Cala Llenya Bar in this guidebook for more info.
This beach is 1km away, and can be reached on foot in 5-15 minutes, depending on your tempo. Here are the directions:
- Turn left onto Urb. Cala Azul outside the Residence gates
- After Club Cala Azul resort down the hill, take a slight right to stay onto the main road (Avinguda de Cala Llenya)
- Pass the little supermarket and get to Can Pere restaurant on your left. At Can Pere, turn left onto Carrer de s'Illa Murada
- At the end of the road, turn right onto Carrer de s'Illa des Canar
- At the end of that small road, you will find a narrow walkway to your left, and see the sea at the end of it. Walk towards it... You're almost there!
- Enjoy the view, then head down the stairs and take the path to the beach.

This tasty BBQ restaurant is a few minutes walk away from the Residence, on the way to and from the local beach. It has fantastic grilled meats and fish, nice outdoor seating and friendly service. Enjoy!

Small, lovely hippy market a few minutes walk from the apartment. A lot of handmade souvenirs, full of Ibiza style. Make sure you check it out, especially if you don't have the chance to visit the larger hippy markets on the island!

It's open Saturdays from 10am to 8:30pm, as well as Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7pm to midnight (June to September). On Sunday nights, it turns into a real party!

There is a bus to Sant Carles and Santa Eulalia
The bus to Sant Carles (including Las Dalias hippy market) and Santa Eulalia passes in front of the Residence in the summertime. The stop is approx. 50m from the Residence gate, turning left once you exit the gate. Schedule and details can be found online by looking up Ibiza Bus Line 16A. For 2023, here is the schedule:

Cómo moverse
Renting a car is the easiest way to get around the island
There are lots of car rental places in ibiza, including many that are located right at the airport. This is the easiest option, although with lots of demand, the prices are often very high.
There are also two car rental options within walking distance of the residence:
- 1: Walk into Club Azul resort and ask them to organize it for you
- 2: Walk to Central Car Ibiza (Avinguda de Cala Llenya, 109, 07850 Santa Eulària des Riu, Illes Balears, Spain). They also offer airport options. NB. They exclude rentals for some driving licences (including Canadian ones)
