Newburyport
The place to pick up the Salem Ferry is about 6 minutes from here!!! It's a great way to get in and out of Boston and a super fun ride. It takes about 40 minutes each way and there's typically a nice narration of what you're seeing on the trip in. It provides inside seating as well as outside. You can purchase tickets right there where you pick it up or you can purchase them online. The ferry's leaves you at Boston's wharf where you can walk across the street into Faneuil Hall or take a right when you get off of the boat and walk into the north end. Of course there are Ubers that you can grab right there and go anywhere in Boston you want and you don't have to deal with parking!

Dane St. Beach is about a four minute walk from the house. It's best at mid and high tide. There's also large sprawling lines to sit on versus the beach if you'd like and there is a great playground right there.
