Yamaguchi Park is the place to get out and get active. It features two small-scale climbing walls, play area, skate park, gazebo, soccer fields, and basketball court.
This is the park you most likely saw on your drive in, located on 8th street, its a 2 minute walk from the house. This park offers horseshoes, volleyball, pickle ball and tennis courts. Even ice skating in the winer!

Great Hike- Start on the Piedra River Trail, after several hundred yards follow an old road bed to the right and a short trail up the ridge to fissures that are sheltered from the sun and contain snow into late June. This hike also has good views of the Piedra Valley.

The first two miles of the Little Blanco Trail are steep and winding. The trail enters the South San Juan Wilderness area at 2.5 miles. Follow the trail 1/2 mile to the junction of the Quartz Lake Trail. The Quartz Creek Trail continues to the left for 1 mile north to Quartz Lake, at 11,600 feet. The lake itself is relatively small, but pristine. The Little Blanco Trail continues northeast four miles to the Continental Divide. The highest point is at 12,246 feet.

All of the animals are non-releasable. Some are rescues from people who had them as pets and realized they do not make good pets. Some are rescues from the wild who were injured or orphaned. Others were born in captivity.
They offer a variety of rides for everyone to enjoy. Trail rides are available in half-hour, one hour, and two our excursions.
