Market days

Yalikavak is famous with its farmer’s markets. There is a fresh produce market on Tuesdays, running from 7:00 am till evening hours. It is next to the Belediye square. It is the best place to buy not only local fresh produce but also local cheeses, nuts, and olives. On Thursdays the clothes market is set at the same location. You can find things such as locally woven rugs, bed spreads, towels and a variety of clothing items.

Best beaches nearby

Our beloved beach locations where the service and the food are great and the beach is free are: Pina Cafe (best Cappuccino in town) Indigo (also great dining and live music experience in the evenings) Mercan Story. For noisier crowds try Magi Beach located at the end of our street. (There is an entrance fee) Miços is also a great choice if you are looking for a nearby location.

Boat tour to the inlets and islands

Daily tours are available from Bodrum. These are bigger, two story boats which can handle bigger crowds. There are also more private charter boats to rent in Yalikavak. Prices change seasonally. It is a wonderful trip either way. *** Beware of the uncooked food served on the boat. One year we’ve got stomach virus from salad.
