Beach with large waves - not good for swimming. However, for R$20 per person you can take a 5 minute boat trip to Promirim island. There you will find pristine clear waters. Worth the trip. The beach also has a quiet lagoon that is good for swimming if you don't go to the island. The beach has a few food kiosks. 40 minutes by bus.
