Lacassine National Refuge has a public access wildlife drive, open 365 days a year. It will bring you through beautiful drive to view all sort of local and migratory birds and wildlife. One of the best places to see alligators around. You will expect to see alligators any warm day of the year here including winter. The drive is located 15-20 minutes from the camp and host and all weather road.
PS: the access is via a gravel road, no need for any special vehicle just know it will be gravel.

Traditional Cajun food with a modern twist. All the local favorites just not the way grand maw cooked. Has live music on most weekends. Lake side, with boat access. Great place for a date night.

Our family favorite. Old school drive inn, although it does not offer car hop service anymore. Best burger I know of with in 50 miles, Malts, fries and all the typical drive inn favorites. Well worth the drive.
