Food Scene

Good place for breakfast or lunch with traditional french cheeses and pates or open-faced hot sandwiches with great coffee and a daily special which comes with a free glass of house wine. Definitely a go-to destination spot in our little city.

Santi's is by far the best authentic restaurant we have in Charleston. The whimsical decor, accommodating staff, the margaritas, and the fast service even on a really busy Friday night makes this place a #1 favorite of ours.

Best vegan and vegetarian spot in Charleston with a very chill, humble environment although it gets pretty busy during lunch time due to its homegrown popularity. You definitely get a bang for your buck. Just a couple blocks from the house! They have brunch specials on Sunday.

Drinks & Nightlife

This is a personal fave of ours. Local 616 is a spacious, but intimate local's bar with an excellent happy hour, a pool table, dart board, giant jenga, a patio in the back, and a couple of TVs in case you're trying to catch an important game. Karaoke is on Thursdays and they host local music on occasion. The owner, Dwayne and his staff are extremely down-to-earth and friendly!

This is a charming spot with an interesting bar staff, mixed drinks, food, and music selection and typically has DJ's that play anything from disco to house to 90s RnB. Located a half-mile away from busy and chaotic King Street bar scene. If you need a dim-lit hideaway at 10pm, this is your spot. Starts getting busy on weekend nights around midnight.

The other side of the bridge is Mount Pleasant and about a 3/4 of a mile down the road is Harbor Breeze which has popular seafood restaurants on the water. Very bike-able!
