Basement is really cool

Always a pleasure staying at Lisa's home. We've stayed there several times before and love the "at home" comfortable feel of the place. Lisa is a great host! I highly recommend her place!

This was a very beautiful place and everyone enjoyed their selves. Some where from Carlyle and were in amazement of all the things that were done to the place. My favorite was the walls. My mother is very hard to please she even said I would love to stay here I would never leave. The neighbor was very friendly. We even invited her over to join us. Anytime we had to reach out to Kristy she responded promptly. I would love to have like a brunch or shower here next time. A relaxing place and yet fun. My only regret was I didn’t get a chance to get in that tub. It was on the list but my stay wasn’t long enough. Until next time .

Jackie was a wonderful host. We didn’t stay at this exact location but we stayed in the 1845 Mansion. I’m writing this review under this place because when we first booked Jackie had to let us know she needed to move us over to the bigger house due to some unforeseen circumstances with this location. The 1845 Mansion looked like a house out of a Hallmark movie. She had the tables beautifully set for our family Christmas party and treats set out for the kids and adults. She didn’t even forget about fur babies, Jackie had toys and treats sitting out for them as well. I highly recommend any of Jackie’s locations for your family gatherings.

Our stay here was great! Dzenad was very responsive with any questions I had. It is so peaceful with the river practically in the backyard. I DEFINITELY recommend staying there if you get the chance.

This house was perfect for a larger group! We felt like we had a lot of space even with 12 people in the house! The location was perfect, as it only took 7-9 minutes to get to most tourist attractions. We appreciated how clean the house was as well! The house is exactly as it shows in the pictures! We would definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Rosemary was super flexible and helpful. We had a wedding rehearsal and she let us in early. Space was great for our family. Lots of room. The location was near businesses, not residential, but not an issue on the weekend. We brought a sound machine which was helpful. Thin walls and sometimes noise on the street (cars/trucks). We are from a remote area.

We came back to Vandalia for my father’s funeral and this was the perfect place for our family. Peaceful, cozy and great accommodations. We know this will be a repeat for us if we’re ever back in the area.
