Beautiful cottage on outstanding grounds, in a lovely area. Iona is so welcoming, makes the effort to say hello, show you around, give recommendations for the area-absolutely goes the extra mile for guests. The cottage does have lots of stairs and some low celings- not something I tend to have to think about at 5ft2, but I did while visiting here, my 6ft2 husband stayed too and maneuvered around the cottage better than me! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, a home from home. Iona has thought of everything to make the stay as comfotable as possible. We stayed with 2 young children (19mo and 3mo), there were lots of stairs and 1 stairgate. My 19mo mananaged all the stairs safely and really enjoyed his stay here. I would definitely book again! Such an amazing find!!

5 stars all round. Highly recommended. This was a great place to stay. An easy walk from the train station (<10 min). In the centre of Charlbury, only minutes from nice pubs, restaurants and the local co-op, but still very peaceful and quiet. In a lovely garden with own outside deck and table. Bright and airy. Spacious enough for two. Good shower. Comfortable king bed with crisp linen. Cozy and comfortable sitting room. Charlbury is a beautiful town with easy train and bus links to London, Oxford, Woodstock (Blenheim), etc. And gorgeous surrounding countryside with great walks. Martin and Helena were generous friendly hosts. We really appreciated a late check out so that we could enjoy a leisurely countryside walk on our last morning. Many thanks!

I had myself a lovely stay at David's Airbnb. The surrounding area is absolutely lovely and the host, David, is even more so. If you're looking for a place to stay, you've found it.

Absolutely brilliant place. Nicola was a fantastic host. Breakfast was a lovely touch and very appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone ! And the hot tub was a brilliant facility to have :) Would 100% stay again !!!

Beautiful accommodation with everything you need, including a luxurious walk in shower. The hosts could not be nicer and even gave us a lift to the wedding reception we were attending. A very pleasant short stay. Highly recommended! The Palmer family - Oxford

Beautiful place at the side of Jenny’s house with a small enclosed garden area, Jenny has a beautiful enclosed larger garden which she let us use as and when we wanted with sheep and horses at the end to see. The house was like being at home, comfortable beds, clean and everything you need for your stay. We stayed with 4 dogs who all enjoyed their holiday. Location is peaceful but you will need to drive to anywhere you want to go. Would definitely stay again

Frances was a great host, friendly and very responsive. Kindly provided fresh milk, eggs, butter tea and coffee much appreciated and all used. The accommodation was perfect for our needs particularly the accessible bathroom. Everything we could ask for and more. I have visited Alison's lodges now several times as the location is just absolutely stunning, it's dog friendly and the lodges themselves are beautiful, cosy and well equipped. The sound of the babbling brook at Brook Lodge as I fell asleep at night was so peaceful. It's so easy to access beautiful walks very close, including within the grounds themselves, and you can also hop in the car and go a bit further afield. Alison is very thoughtful and flexible and I could not recommend this stay more. It is a little bit of peace!

I had a lovely stay at Deer View Lodge with my family. Although the weather wasn’t great, it was nice to spend a cosy evening in front of the fireplace. The lodge is spacious, well furnished and is equipped with everything you need. We brought our dog with us and she really enjoyed it, and it was good to be able to let her out into the courtyard. The location is very peaceful. We definitely would like to return. I have no hesitation in recommending Deer Lodge. Thank you to our host Stephanie for her excellent communication.

Cute, cozy, comfortable and very clean with good beg sheets and comfortable bed. We absolutely loved using the sauna. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We were sad to leave this place.

Such a lovely little break. We struggled finding the property at first as our satnav directed us to the wrong street but Victoria responded quickly and we soon found it. Everything you could need was provided and it was a super cosy space, it felt like a little home from home.

This was our second time to stay in The Hay Shed and it was just as great as we had remembered it to be the first time. The shed is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay, we felt right at home as soon as we entered. Anne is very friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond for us when we were having some car troubles. I would highly recommend a stay in The Hay Shed and we will definitely be back for a third visit!

Had a great time. Great location, peaceful, private, clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Perfect! Mike and Sarah were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Brilliant location right next to the beach and a short walk to east and west wittering, or a bus to take you further afield. Fell in love with the Witterings. Highly recommended.

Claire and Christopher were incredible hosts! Their little home from home was perfect for our family of four. It was very well set up, kitted out kitchen perfect for any type of cooking, cozy space, and lovely surroundings. We especially loved exploring the fields and the kids loved the chickens and dogs! The hot tub was a perfect way to end each day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a countryside experience with all the comforts of home.

Wow! The pictures do not do this place justice! Pristine condition, lovely responsive hosts. We had such a lovely stay. The hot tub was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool that we had private access to, my 4 year old son loved it. This place had everything we needed to enjoy a lovely birthday treat, we also had great weather too and got to use the BBQ. Awesome place and we would love to come back. We will miss the cows x

lovely place to stay in, very clean and tidy Julia was very responsive and gave a full list of things to do locally. April Cottage was immaculate and had more than enough than we required for our stay. (lovely little welcome gift which was unexpected) Hottub was perfect and clean. Pub and shop in walking distance was excellent. (Had a lovely meal in the Pheasant pub!!)

wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. the cottage is located in their backyard and you both have complete privacy as well as use of the garden. i was made to feel very mucg at home and had wonderful exchanges with Brenda, who was the only there at the time I was living there. I can highly recommend it, a bit outside Oxford city but there is a bus nearbu going straight to town

We booked a really last minute holiday and arrived within a few hours of booking. The place was absolutely beautiful and so many comfortable places to chill around the house. The location was perfect as well, just what we were after! One of the best holidays we've had as a family!

I spent a week at Kim and Edd's - and everything was great. I wanted a quiet place close to Tor, Chalice Well and White Spring. We didn't have a hire car, but we walked everywhere from the house, including into town for shopping (Morrisons) and into the centre - to the Abbey and other places of interest. For longer trips we used buses and taxis - it's easy to get everywhere on foot. There is an unpleasant, busy road into town, but our hosts advised us of a quiet path leading through the idyllic countryside, where there are also lovely evening walks. During the day the road is audible, but in the evening everything calms down and you enjoy the English countryside with bleating sheep, hooting owls and the wonderful house cat Brutus. :D The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, you can heat up on cold days, there is always plenty of hot water (and good pressure). If you want to experience a comfortable, peaceful and enjoyable holiday with the strong energy under Tor, this is great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deborah’s place. It was airy yet warm and cozy with a pretty view of the garden from the living area. It was a 5 minute walk to High Street making it very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. In addition all of the sites such as the Tor, Chalice Well and the Abbey were also very walkable. For such close proximity to everything we still felt outside of all the noise and business of the town center. The place was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend staying with Deb and Tim. If we are ever in Glastonbury again this place would be our first choice.

A beautiful barn in peaceful surroundings. Pared back luxury. Simplistic design that lends itself to relaxation. The kitchen was extremely well equipped (one of the best we’ve experienced). Well thought through touches such as the delicious home made jam, along with the great selection of coffee pods and teas just added to our stay. I loved waking up to the views of the trees and going to sleep staring at the stars. There was plenty of wood for the wood burner and the fire fit. We would definitely book again, when next visiting Devon.
