Home of the award winning pub, The Brownlow Arms, Hough-on-the-Hill is within close proximity to many local attractions. Lovingly restored from an old stable building into a luxurious countryside getaway, Penellie Barn offers peace and tranquility as you enjoy the nature around, walk through our beautiful countryside or relax under the stars in the hot tub.

This gorgeous 19th century barn is beautifully decorated, situated in the charming village of Upton, Nottinghamshire. A stunning holiday home for families, friends and couples. Featuring a top of the range kitchen, bright and airy dining room and relaxing sitting room with king-sized sofa bed. Upstairs are two luxurious bedrooms with exposed beams and two sumptuous bathrooms finished to a fantastic standard to make your stay everything you could dream of. Glebe Acre Cottage

Unwind at our peaceful cottage, tucked away in a quiet Lincolnshire village. With easy access to the A1 just 3-4 minutes away leading to Grantham, Stamford to the South and Newark and York to the North. The village of Long Bennington (4 mins by car or 20 mins by foot over country paths - difficult in the dark / can be muddy) offers 3 pubs with food, 2 takeaways, a coop store, and cafe, with beautiful walks along the river Witham from the doorstep, a real retreat from the busy and hectic.

Little Acres Apartment (near Belvoir Castle)

Little Acres is a first floor self-contained apartment situated in a quiet village on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire / Lincolnshire border. Just a 2-minute drive from the A1, 5 minutes from Belvoir Castle and a stones throw from the A52. The Apartment is ideal for 2 people, but can sleeps up to 4. Entry is through a shared utility area (separate to our house) and a private stair case leads to the apartment. We also offer private off road parking for one car.

The Annex at Bramble Lodge

Refurbished in 2025, the ‘Annex at Bramble Lodge’ sits in the middle of the village of Stathern and in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir. Stathern is a farming village, hence, we do have tractors, horse boxes and horses etc passing by. Accommodation is a self contained annex all on ground level with its own personal entrance and off road parking. A basic cold breakfast is provided. Guests are welcome to share the use of the rear enclosed garden with the host’s family.

Set amongst 24 acres of private land and only 2 other cabins, this retreat offers quiet trail walks, nature watching in a mini woodland, around a small lake and across peaceful grassy fields. The cabin has high ceilings, a log burner and comfy beds for you to curl up in. We are pet friendly 🐶♥️

Close to the Vale of Belvoir with its miles of foot/cycle paths and Belvoir Castle with it shopping complex and a number of places to eat. Enjoy the local towns and their enthralling history, from the Romans through the Vikings and the civil war to WW2 bomber history. Being 1.5 miles from the A1 makes it an easy area to find and enjoy.
