We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

Whether its a romantic weekend for two ( no children) or a base for your adrenalin packed holiday around the central plateau, you will find our cosy cottage an ideal base. Please note,great views also mean a bit of a climb. We have 33 steps up to our door. If you have mobility needs please check the photos before booking. This apartment block was built in 1976, so does look old and tired on the outside.

This unit is in the lower part of our home, which is a 2-storey building. Your access, courtyard and living areas are all completely separate from ours, with off street parking. Your privacy during your stay is our utmost consideration and therefore we take all steps necessary to leave you to relax.

THE MINSION, a cosy studio located in our garden , in beautiful Acacia Bay. Awake to the sound of Tui's and bird song. It is a short walk to Lake, cafe/ restaurant, local store and walking tracks . Our studio is often used and loved by family and friends so has a number of board games, DVDs and family memories. We like our property to be smoke/vape free please. There is an air fryer and microwave available for cooking, and the flat has an ironing board, iron and hair blow drier.
