Domitilla's cottage is a charmingly quirky cabin in the woods with a large deck in the woods and close to the Knysna River, very quiet and private which for us was a large plus. The river is only a short walk away across grassy fields and there are a number of canoes available to use - good fun. The cottage itself is fairly basic but perfectly adequate and it felt safe. Access to town is very easy. Thanks for sharing your farm with us, Domitilla.

The place is much much beautiful than the photos, we wish that we extended our stay, you need to spend at least a whole day in the house without doing activities outside. The island is very very safe and highly secured.

Great stay. Clean, well equipped property that matched its description. Hosts responsive and helpful. Easy walk to the Waterfront. Thank you also for making a kayak available to us. Good fun.

We had an amazing stay at Tessa’s place. We were travelling with grandparents and 2 kids aged 8 and 11. The property felt like a ‘home from home’ in a very beautiful and peaceful setting (amazing views of the estuary) . The property had everything we needed and more including bikes, kayaks, well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The estate itself has great amenities including a cafe and pub. All the rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious for our family. Lots of open reception spaces and outdoor spaces for relaxing. It was also the perfect place for exploring Knsyna and surroundings.

We had a fabulous stay, the house was spacious, clean , awesome outdoor area and very quiet and safe. We will be back again for another stay.

Absolutely wonderful place to have a family holiday. I loved the fact that we were right on the beach and water. The space has everything you need for a proper relaxing holiday! I would highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay in this magnificent location. The house had everything we needed and the kayak was great given you are on the water. It allowed us to explore. Trish was a lovely, friendly, responsive host. I would definitely recommend her place and we hope to be back next year.

Our family stayed for 5 nights and we really loved it. The solar power never went under 80 percent even in overcast condition and it's so private and quiet. If you like camping and be to yourself we can truly recommend the place. Liz was very responsive and sorted out small problems immediately.

Jean's house is the absolute perfect place for a family holiday. Lots of space, adjacent to a lovely, clean lagoon for fishing, swimming and canoeing; a lovely lawn for the kids to play on, a massive stoep (verandah) to spend the days and early evenings enjoying a braai and admiring the spectacular view of the hill on the other side of the lagoon, in the coolness of shade. The granny cottage in the backyard is the perfect go-to place for grandparents or parents to escape to. The location is perfect, on a cul-de-sac, near enough to restaurants and shops alike. To top it all, Jean is the perfect host and communicated accurately, honestly and immediately. Our large family of nine returned home, relaxed, happy and well rested. We absolutely dream of repeating our fabulous holiday in the exact same house, soon.

I've been driving down into Wilderness for many years, and have always wondered what it would be like to stay in those epic houses on the other side of the river. Well, turns out one of them is on Airbnb! Upon arriving Francis was there within 3 mins to row us across the river, and 10 mins after that we were inside. The place was exceptionally clean - and Francis was very helpful and welcoming. He gave us a bag of fire wood to braai and told us everything we needed to know. Had a great evening and slept like a log - partner was very happy with Volpes linen which translates too she thought the bed was clean and comfortable.👍 Shower was also the best I've had in a really long time - hot and high pressure so she was happy too. No wifi but reception was good. Gustav was also very accommodating. Although this is technically just a log cabin on the side of the mountain - the experience and amenities were 6 stars - would highly recommend if you need a nature getaway!

A massive thank you to Nicholas & Louis for their incredible hospitality, attention to detail and they were always available irrespective of the time of day. We felt as if we have known them for years, and their friendly demeanor and attention to detail was incredible. Thank you for your generosity.

A very special space, meant for those who enjoy a farm style holiday but with all possible comforts, and more. honestly, I have stayed at many a farm cottages with my kids, but never have I found one like at Nix’ with carefully chosen plates, cups, pottery, and even an air fryer and yoga mats! The kids enjoyed the treehouse and toys. We could not make time to canoe in the river (right at your doorstep) but that will be for the next trip! The only downside was the sound of cars rushing past on the highway. Wish there was a speed limit on those cars.. look forward to being at this farm again

We love staying at Paula's place, it is a divine cottage complete with everything one needs. Set in a beautiful garden, which our border collies just love. We thoroughly enjoy our holidays at Paula's place and will definitely be back again.

The cottage has beautiful farm views and the area has stillness that will relax any business or holiday traveler. My family & I had fresh rich milk from grass fed cows every morning. A real treat.

The place was even better than on the pictures. We simply loved and enjoyed a lot our stay.

We loved our stay with Michelle. The cottage is perched on a hillside surrounded by trees, which gave us the relaxing getaway we were after. We were visited by the local Knysna Loeries on a number of occasions and we thoroughly enjoyed hiking the many trails in the area and kayaking on Touw River. If you’re looking for a cosy cottage with peaceful surrounds just outside of Wilderness, we’d recommend booking a stay with Michelle.

Tashas place is a real gem! We have never stayed anywhere like this before and it was fab. The cabin is minimalist but clean and comfortable. The other amenities such as the hot tub, sofa looking over the view and Braai are all great. It was easy to uber to town and all instructions were very clear. Tasha is also fantastic so would love to stay again!

The road in is a bit rough but we made it in easily and it is worth it. It was better than what we expected. Absolutely stunning and peacefull. We were there for three days and enjoyed every moment. We will definitely go there again, hopefully soon. It is the most amazing place to become part of nature.

Die Unterkunft von Anja ist wunderschön gelegen und hat eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf den Fluss. Ich habe die Ausflüge auf dem zum Haus gehörigen Kayak sehr genossen. Abends haben wir gegrillt und sind im Fluss schwimmen gegangen. Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht. Der einzige kleinere Wermutstropfen ist die nahegelegene Bundesstraße, die man immer hören kann. Aber die Lage war sonst so schön, dass wir uns schnell daran gewöhnt haben. Ich liebe Wilderness und es war ein sehr besonderer Aufenthalt in Anja‘s Häuschen. Vielen Dank!!
