Cash-only neighborhood joint featuring kitschy owl decor, plenty of craft brews & local bands. Attached to Steve's Hot Dogs, who serves up their signature dogs (don't miss the mac & cheese dog!) late night.

Dive bar, one of my favorite spots in the city. Good beer selection, low key place. Attached is "Steve's Hot Dogs" which has inventive hot dog and mac'n cheese dishes. Perfect combination. Side note: if you've ever heard of punk/ska band "The Urge", Steve's Hot Dogs is owned by the lead singer

The truly original corner bar brought back to like with a great local beer selection and a comfy atmosphere. Is right next to Steve's Hot Dogs.

The quintessential neighborhood bar. This place was re-energized after being closed for about 20 years. They didn't change a thing though so it still has the feel of a very old tavern. There are two themes, owls and clocks, and about every version of each you can imagine, fill the walls. Bartenders are super friendly. Be prepared to pay with cash though! No food here, but you can order at the connected Steve's Hot Dogs and they will deliver your food to the bar.

Tick Tock Tavern is a low-key, inviting watering hole with a comfortable patio and plenty of seats indoors. The bar is stocked with the best of local brews, and the walls are adorned with kitschy-but-comforting owl-themed decor. It's a St. Louis staple. Cash only, but an ATM is inside.
