This is a good place to go with friends for happy hour because they have specials, but it’s also a great lunch and breakfast spot. They serve a more modern cuisine along with Mexican craft beers and wine. It’s a cool, hip place. My favorite taco is the sea urchin chile guero taco. It’s a fried chile guero over a tortilla that has melted cheese on it, and then they serve fresh uni over it. It’s pretty exotic and very delicious.

Super tasty Mexican food. It's an order-at-the-counter kind of place, with not your average order-at-the-counter food. It can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but the line tends to move quick. The chips and salsa are delicious!

So it's LA and I'm recommending a taco that isn't from a truck. This is a taco equivalent of fine dining. Expensive but truly unique. I'm sad they took some of the more specialty items off the menu but you can still get a duck confit taco, cochinita pibil, and the specials are often amazing (again a little pricy for tacos) lunch specials are decent value - I like the fried taco mussel, potato avocado lunch special $13
