Gorgeous walk across from downtown Nanaimo. There is one set of stairs on the trail - with many stairs on it.

This is a nice walk on 5 kms of trail (about an 1 hour) that will take you out to a point with nice views of Nanaimo, Straight of Georgia, and Gabriola Island. The trails are well maintained. There are some areas that are a bit steeper, and get the heart rate up, but over-all it is not a difficult hike.

This park provides acess to beaches and natural rock formations. There are excellent views of Protection Island and Gabriola Island. You may see bald eagles, sea lions, seals and even harbour porpoises from the park. Most of the 32 acre park is natural with a 2.5 km trail leading from Biggs Park to Jack Point. Please note, there are some stairs and boardwalks. 501 Duke Point Hwy (follow the signs.

Something for everyone ! Great walk for all ages and skill levels. Walk a little or a lot. Most of walk is stroller friendly. Suitable for dogs. Lots of spots with benches and natural rest stops. Beach access and great ocean views. Keep an eye out for cool art work.
