Just driving up to see the view of the bay from their western parking lot is well worth it. If you have kids, this is a great daytime activity - they will learn & have fun!

Fantastic place to take the kids to learn about science with hands on games. Amazing views of the Bay Bridge and downtown San Francisco.

It is a great rainy day for slightly older kids- check the website -it can get crowded on a rainy week end- The views are outrageous and the life size whale can be climbed even if you aren't going into the museum proper
