Tinguelys art are sculptures... but they do not stand still, they move! Great, amazing, astonishing, frightening... also fun for kids. One of the best art places in Switzerland.

This art makes a good mood. The fantastic machines are not simply on the ground but run also at certain times of the day (about every 15 minutes). The TV documentaries are also informative and worth seeing. 2 hours should be scheduled for Tinguely museum at least.

It is my favorite museum in Basel. Jean Tinguely is usually spotted at the Tinguely fountain in the center, but visiting the museum is a much more intense experience. The collection of machines in that one space is truly mind-blowing and definitely worth visiting. Even for kids it is interesting how the machines are moving and making sounds and lights.... Just amazing
