Savage Day Loop Trail has a moderate 4.2-mile round-trip hike along the eastern prong of the Savage Gulf canyon. Add the South Rim Trail for an additional 1-mile round-trip excursion to Savage Falls, a beautiful 30-foot waterfall. Both trails feature swinging bridges for added adventure. Trail access begins at the Savage Gulf Ranger Station in Palmer.
