If you are in Monteverde or close please dont lost the chance to drink one the best coffes in Costa Rica produce by local people of Monteverde.

Cafe Macadamia is another of my "must stop places" when I take the 142 street through the Arenal Lake on my way from/to Liberia-Guanacaste area. General food here is great, delicious pizza and pastries (I personally LOVE smoothies they do and specailly the one with strawberry and milk). All this complemented with an breathtaking view to the Arenal Lake and surrounded mountains.

Cafe Macadamia is renowned for its delicious breakfasts, soups, sandwiches and sweet baked goods. The views are spectacular. It is about a 30 minute drive from Casa Del Sol but it is on the way to La Fortuna so you can plan your trip with a stop in here along the route to or from the volcano.
