Great place for birding. Check opening and closing times. Probably best in the morning for birding activities. Check for hikes and guided tour times. Cost for admission.

Enjoy a hike or a bike ride. Good trails are available for both. There is a planetarium sponsored by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, but you have to check the website for availability. There are events scheduled almost every week. Great staff!

At 1,200 acres, Resaca de la Palma State Park is the largest of the World Birding Center sites and is located in Brownsville. Here you can access the park's many trails by tram, hiking, biking or walking.
