This french-themed cafe is adorable - a great breakfast/lunch spot in Centro Habana, and a great place to read a book over a glass of wine or a coffee. The service is nothing to write home about, but welcome to Cuba :)

Enjoy a coffee and cake with a difference at Cafe Arcangel. The tables are all made from old Singer sewing machine treadles, Charlie Chaplin movies run on a centrally placed (but non-invasive) TV and there's an in-house cat called Buona Fortuna ('good luck').

Address: Concordia No.57 e/ Galiano y Aguila, Centro Habana. Description: It is a very popular place in Havana Center (Centro Habana) where you can eat sandwiches, juices, milkshakes, coffe, teas, etc We know the owner, Maria-Elena and use to enjoy visiting her often. Recommendation: Try the tuna sandwich. It´s not necessary to book in advance
