It is in a lovely park from circa the 1920s, well landscaped with a duck pond and the museum holds paintings, sculpture, as well as rotating displays of historical objects.

First Saturday of every month admission is free. Nice 15 minute neighborhood walk to this historic Stockton Museum. The basement exhibits the original Caterpillar invention... must go and read all about it. Its located inside of Victory Park, which has a duck pond, rose garden, baseball diamond, local festivals, walking and jogging folks, a fire station, and beautiful unique homes all around.
