For a nice short day trip out of Narbonne to see this historic French town, no cars allowed. You park and walk in this medieval city. This restaurant is amazing and reserve ahead for a table outside with view of the gorge

Ask for a table on the terrace, the view is fantastic (not as good as the excellent food, but still worth a visit!)

The village of Minerve was a last Cathar strong hold, al island with deep river gorges either side . Relais Chantovent is a restaurant perched on the edge of the gorge with spectacular views and gorgeous food. We have known the chefs work since he had Le Picou in the neighbouring village of La Caunette. We love the ambience of the restaurant and as I said you do not get a bad meal whilst there. So you get to visit a beautiful Minervois village and eat fabulous food in a stunning location.
