The Batana Eco-museum is listed in the UNESCO Register of Good Safeguarding Practices for the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of the world. It is a small museum devoted to preserve traditions of Rovinj. The name of the museum comes from a traditional wooden fishing boat typical for Rovinj.

In port of Rovinj, protected from the winds, numerous Rovinj batanas are berthed even today. Batanas are flat-bottomed boats protected by UNESCO due to a traditional way of construction.
