Hello, Marjorie has quickly become the stalwart of the Des Moines cocktail scene, with its spacious lounge dorned with deep green leathers, retro lampshades, and paintings of Marjorie herself (owner’s grandmother). That’s not to mention the iconic neon sign with the Jack Kerouac quote, “The prettiest girls in the world live in Des Moines,” which may just be the most photograph-friendly spot in town. It’s like drinking in your grandma’s basement, if your grandma was Elizabeth Taylor.

Really unique spot that is decorated in mid mod decor and plays 50s and 60s tunes. Feels like you stepped into a time machine and are partying in the 50s. Amazing craft cocktails and excellent beer selection.
