While technically not a brewery, they have the best selection of beer in a city famous for craft beer. Unique, fun, and not stuck up. Can get crowded, but worth the energy. Serves bar food, but don’t show up hungry.

The oldest beer- and wine- licensed location in San Diego, Hamilton’s Tavern is serious beer joint. Great pub food too.
