This hike starts above Rjukan. The road is filled with stones and its a bit difficult, but The view is amazing!

The hike with views above all others! Gaustatoppen (1883 metres), is the highest mountain in Telemark, easy to climb and readily accessible. If the weather is fine, you may see one sixth of Norway.

Gaustatoppen (1883m above sea level) towers majestically over Rjukan, and is considered by many to be Norway's most beautiful mountain. The top is easily accessible and easy to climb, but still offers the widest view of southern Norway. From the top you can in clear weather see about one sixth of Norway. Highlights: Gaustabanen to the top of the mountain Tourist cabin at the top Only 2 hours walk from Stavsro Norway's widest view 1 hour drive from the cabin.
