Stunning World Heritage Site village, with ancient stone circle, National Trust Manor House and gardens. Great walks. See national trust for more information and ideas! Stone circle is same age as Stonehenge. Can walk amongst the stones and touch them also!

Avebury Stone Circle: about 15 miles away, part of the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site and dating from around 2850 BC. There is also a museum and Manor House. The nearby town of Marlborough is also worth a visit afterwards and is a good place for food.

20 minutes drive from the Garden Annex, Avebury is a great day out. Avoid the crowds at Stonehenge, the Neolithic stone circles at Avebury are part of the same UNESCO world heritage site but are much more visitor friendly, there is also the manor house and pubs for lunch.
