Asheville. When you’re as close to the Biltmore Estate as you are (less than 30 mi) it’s a must do. Can be a bit pricey, but if it’s something that interests you (research the history if you’re not familiar, really cool!) it’s worth it! Spend an entire day on the estate. Take a guided tour of the home, walk the beautiful flower gardens, sample some of their estate wines at a wine tasting, rent bikes and explore the massive property or just picnic on the lawn for a relaxing afternoon. Several restaurants on site to enjoy!

It's iconic Asheville! And besides the palatial home, there are beautiful walking trails around the estate. Make sure you dine at one of the three restaurants in Antler Village, or snag a tour of the winery.
