For a real taste of Oaxaca, we suggest the Benito Juarez Mercado. This is truly a treasure and a must if you want to immerse yourself in culture. We believe it’s the best place to buy Seafood, fresh Oaxacan cheeses, Mole, Chocolate, Fruit, Veggies, Flowers, Tamales, Pottery, Souvenirs and so much more! You can even enjoy an authentic Oaxacan meal there while you enjoy drinking an Agua Fresca or Licuado. Be adventurous and try the Chapulínes (grasshoppers); they’re Crunchy, Spicy, Salty and a delicacy with very high protein! Remember to bring pesos and your own shopping bags! You’re welcome to use ours located in the laundry room. :)
