This is a great place to go for many months out of the year (I think they run August-April) if you are looking for less crowded places to skate! They have lessons for kids and adults on Saturdays, snacks for sale, skate rental, and those training "walkers" for kids who are skating for the first time.

Local ice rink - fall through spring only. Check schedule for open skate times, as the rink is utilized by our local hockey leagues and figure skating school as well.

Although you may be here in the summertime, the ice arena is great fun for kids. It has been newly renovated and is perfect for youngsters who may just be learning how to skate. Saugerties is a nice town to visit while you are here and the shops are more interesting than Woodstock’s. The town is more down to earth. There is a good Chinese food restaurant, bookstore, lots of antique stores and plenty of pubs to grab a burger at, something harder to find these days in Woodstock. My father, who is 93, loves to browse the antique shops there every time he visits.
