Wonderful exhibits in the free visitor and education center. The Wildlife Drive is part of the National Parks system. It is a 4 mile drive through the refuge. It costs $10, or free if you have a National Parks pass. Depending on the season you will see a wide verity if birds and other wildlife.

Just awesome!!! Educator Center. Wildlife Drive. Nature store. Wildlife! Kids love it! Adults love it! Edu. Ctr. & nature store good for rainy days. Get your nature on and be WOWed. Free educational programs in-season. Walk bike drive. Photography. A premier birding site in-season, but also other species. Don't forget to inquire about Bailey Tract.

Nearby Sanibel Island's conservation treasure. Search online for full details before you go, and decide on biking, walking, or driving through at a very slow pace. Best birding is early morning, and late afternoon. Interpretive Center is located at the main entrance, and is worth stopping for. Nearby kayak rentals: Tarpon Bay Explorers.
