The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

A small but special little place tucked neatly between rolling hills. Kawakawa Hut provides a simple but comfy getaway for two in a beautiful countryside. Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. The Studio at Woodfort Estate

Our studio is perfectly placed for stunning views of our mountain and rolling hill landscapes. A weekend get away or longer retreat will be rewarded with privacy and peace to relax inside or on the spacious patio that captures amazing afternoon sunshine and sun sets! The main bedroom is detached from the living and kitchen, which has a fold out couch for extra guests. Relax in the outdoor bath and enjoy the simplicity of living off grid without lacking to many home comforts. Toilet is detached.

Panoramic views of sea, 1 min walk to the beach, surf, kayak, hike Mt Taranaki or bike the Coastal Walkway. 3 min to playground. Master Bedroom with ensuite upstairs. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, TV, Netflix and free wifi. 15-20 mins from New Plymouth. 10 minutes from Airport. 40 mins from White Cliffs Walk, 15 mins to Pukekura Park Festival of the Lights. 35mins to Mt Taranaki. Some book for 1 guest and show up with 6. So we check our door camera. Please be honest.
