The Gingerbread House

Experience a piece of Valdez history when you stay at the Gingerbread House! This house was originally built on the old Valdez townsite, then moved and renovated after the 1964 tsunami. Our home is a brand new construction built in 2018 in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Although, we are not located in town, we are just minutes away by car or bike. Access to beautiful trails, for your hiking and skiing pleasure, that lead to Shoup Bay and Mineral Creek. Our home is about a mile from the shoreline and nestled closely to the mountainside.

Historic Thompson House

Thompson House is historic, quirky, unique and comfortable. It survived the 1964 9.2 earthquake and tsunami that caused Old Valdez to relocate to the new and present town site. An addition more than doubled the size of the original one room cabin which included an extensive remodel.
