Great for outdoor hiking to amazing places and great dark spot in the winter for Northern Lights viewing. A 4x4 is important to access the house in the winter

Sjónarhóll is a good home base for visiting and see some of the greatest tourist attractions as Gullfoss,Geysir,Þingvellir,Skálholt Cathedral.Secret lagoon.Jökulsárlón, Landmannalaugar

Next small town Hvolsvölluris 20 min away. 20 minutes to drive to next waterfall, Seljalandsfoss, 40 min to Skógafoss. Around 1 hour to drive to Vík í Mýrdal, and 1 hour to the "Golden cirkle". 10 min to Landeyjahöfn - the harbour to Vestmanneyjar. You can see some famous volcanoes and hear the sounds from the ocean .
