Place was so awesome! Nice clean, good space for 3 adults and 2 infants. There was some fresh eggs, fresh milk and mandarins! It was so amazing. As it's farm, in the morning me and my kid could see milking cow, some ducks and chickens with chicks. Shame that we couldn't stay one more day. I really recommend this place.

What a perfect place to stay. The place exceeded expectations and is even better than the photos and descriptions suggests. The fireplace worked flawlessly and was stocked with plenty of firewood and kindling to use. The beds had nice pillows and sheets that were warm and enveloping - and one bed had an electric blanket which was useful on a cold night. The outdoor bathtub was the highlight of the trip - the view of the Milky Way from a hot bath in a secluded area was something special - even saw a couple of shooting stars. The home is a quick 4 minute drive to Franz Josef town if you’re looking for restaurants or the grocery store. Can’t recommend this place more. What a special two nights we had there. Ambica and Ellie’s home is older but it’s very clean, well maintained and well equipped. The beds are so comfortable and the bedding was good quality too. It’s very close to restaurants and cafes. We would absolutely stay again 😊

A great place to stay. Enjoyed watching the Keas playing in the trees around the house. The hot tub is a fantastic addition. Lovely rooms and well set up. Nice and private at the back of the Ranforest Retreat. Thank you for hosting us.

What an awesome spot. Had our own cottage with spa. Totally private and very quiet. Cottage was spacious and clean. would highly recommend

We loved our two nights in Ōkārito. The location is incredible with stunning scenery: mountains, wilderness areas, walks, bird sanctuary and beach. The cottage is a cosy traditional, rustic crib (bach if you're not a Southlander), comfortable and homely. We'd happily come again during the warm months as at this time of year the dampness is creeping inside.

A unique and special experience! Outdoor bath in the moonlight was definitely a highlight. Kath, Dan and family were friendly and welcoming.

It was a great place to stay at. Right in the midst of the rainforest, with a private hot tub and sauna to our unit. Private and peaceful, yet close to everything out there. Property has everything you need and it felt cosy, luxurious and clean! Love it!

Lovely location. The house is lovely. It doesn’t have a washer and dryer but you can pay for one that is available to others. Would be nice if they gave you a voucher for use as you are paying a premium for staying at the house. Other than that, would recommend to others to stay here.
