Our country cottage has been completely renovated into a beautiful and stylish home. It is situated in an idyllic setting overlooking a stream in the North Yorkshire countryside, 4 miles from the small market town of Malton. This is an extremely peaceful place, entirely surrounded by fields. The cottage is semi-detached with a quiet neighbour. The cottage accommodates 4 adults, a child and a baby, in 3 upstairs bedrooms: 1 (king) double, 1 with two singles, 1 with smaller bed and travel cot.

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

There are lots of local village pubs within 2.5 miles of us where you can go for a drink or meal or even visit the food capital of Malton

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

Historic cottage, wood-fired hot tub + village pub

Three hundred year old sandstone, exposed timber beams, and the kind of warmth that comes from old walls, open fires and underfloor heating. Yew Tree Cottage @ Kingfisher and Yew sits opposite a dog-friendly village pub. Take long walks from the front door. Light the wood-fired hot tub in the walled garden and toast your toes by the fire. Countryside location near to York

Nestled in the countryside just outside York, 'The Kennel' is a relaxing and peaceful retreat. This small but perfectly formed self-contained annex is set in three acres of newly planted woodland in which you can often see the Barn, Tawny and Little Owls visiting to be fed from the feeding posts, garden, small orchard, wildlife pond and apiary housing up to 4 beehives which provide us with some delicious honey. To the rear of the property is a Whisky and Gin Distillery.

Relax & unwind in this peaceful property, set back from the road in the pretty village of Welburn in the heart of The Howardian Hills. Castle Howard is approximately 1 mile away & is walkable from Bumble Bee. Welburn has a pub/restaurant & a shop/bakery. Yorkshires Food Capital, Malton is a 5 mile drive away & the beautiful city of York only 15 🐝

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

Within easy walking distance of two pubs, the cottage consists of a fully fitted kitchen, sitting room with wood burner, downstairs toilet, double bedroom, twin bedded room and spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Outside garden. Off road parking. Although assistance dogs are welcome, we cannot accept bookings from guests wishing to bring their pets.
