James was an amazing host, very welcoming and made sure we felt right at home. He made it clear that we could reach out to him if need be. The water house was even more beautiful than the pictures. My family and I would love to come back someday.

We had such a great time with ample space to relax and/or to play family activities! Scenic location! Also a great location to get to and from other destinations! ie Legoland, American Dream Mall etc. !!

Great Communication from staff. Gave great recommendation and the house was very cozy and clean. Many things to do nearby and I would recommend this for a party up to 10. I would definitely recommend this to friends and come back in the future for another hike!!!

Great place and perfect for outdoor adventurers. Loved the open kitchen, hot tub, and fire pit. Everything was well-stocked.

The place was cute and cozy, and the surroundings were beautiful. We had an awesome stay here where we could get away from the world and enjoy some quality time. We took a small hike into the woods, took the boat out, and enjoyed nature. The hot tub was perfect for 2, the bed is cozy and we enjoyed the fire pit. There was a bald eagle perched outside in a tree, right outside of the cabin every day to top it off. Looking forward to our next stay here.

I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s over the years. Not all reserved by myself. However, this is definitely in the top of the cleanest ones I’ve stayed at. That’s really important to me. I know things get missed sometimes, but I don’t want to see a strand of hair in the fridge I’m putting my food in or in the shower I’m washing my body in. Sometimes it’s inevitable and easily missed. But just a little more attention to detail eliminates that slight miss. Speaking of attention to detail, Lisa truly made me feel special when I walked in the door to a personalized note on the kitchen counter w/coffee and a snack. That type of attention to detail goes a long way with me. Just a simple thoughtful gesture. It’s the little things that are important! Also during our stay, Lisa remained in communication with me with any questions I had. It was an awesome stay with some preteens and a toddler. The teens enjoyed the game room while the toddler enjoyed the mini kitchen perfect for her size. Thank you!!

From the minute we booked our stay, Kate and Brad were responsive, gracious hosts. We work a ton in Brooklyn and don’t get out as often as we’d like, so the combination of this beautiful, serene property and Kate’s welcoming touches exceeded our expectations. We were at ease in the home, which was very well-laid out and extremely cozy, and took the time to enjoy the property and indulge in some sauna and hot tub time after hiking. Everything was pristine and easy to use-any questions we had were answered promptly and with so much friendliness that it never felt like we were bothering them. The care that was taken to ensure we enjoyed ourselves was certainly more than anything we’ve experienced at another rental, and we feel so well cared for and so rejuvenated that we’re already talking about booking another stay. Wonderful, peaceful getaway for our extended family to be able to spend quality time after the holidays. The wood-burning stove is super cool- the glass door allows you to watch the beautiful flames and it gives off great heat to the large floor to ceiling great room. We also loved the separate wood-burning sauna structure— especially the large window from which you could look out over the woods and stream below as snowflakes quietly fell- it felt like we were in Sweden! New, beautifully appointed bathrooms, and well-stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed all of the hiking trails on the property (as did our pup!), and the hot tub was a nice feature to further enjoy the view of the mountains. The original house is older so be prepared for some quirks (very squeaky wood floors and doors), but it has been restored/updated beautifully while still keeping a cozy, rustic-chic charm. Laura & Ryan were the ideal hosts- provided lots of useful info and were very responsive. A fantastic retreat!

Wonderful little cabin with a beautiful view! Needed a place to stay while my house was having work done on it...the porch was perfect as a temporary office, bedroom was nice and dark- I slept like a log! Best touch was Michele's homemade jam!

Vincenzo’s place was amazing! We stayed with 2 families and 3 small children and everyone was comfortable and had tons of space. The property was beautiful and there are so many amazing hikes close by. I highly recommend staying here!

I booked this property as a kind of ad hoc writing retreat. It was the perfect location to complete what work I needed to do. A quick drive into Sparta for restaurants and supplies also made this a great location.

Amazing location! There are various choices for hiking, including several Appalachian trails! We went on Stairs to Heaven, that was 7 min by car from the house. The house itself immediately felt like home. Design was amazing with beautiful combination of colors, furniture and wooden walls. You can find everything you need for comfortable life there. We went to celebrate my birthday and it was the greatest experience we had with renting a house! Special thanks to the host! Immediate responses for all questions that we had! And of course lake view directly from your window. Our soul and mind had beautiful rest here. We will surely return here! ❤️❤️❤️

We had a fantastic stay! The place was really beautiful and large! Close proximity to some great sights, and it was very very clean! Rhona was very helpful and responsive and told us we could check in at any time, which made traveling much less stressful! The only thing was that the shower caused a leak above the dining table - it didn’t bother us, Rhona said that it sometimes happens if the shower deism so clogged. Also, good to be aware that you can hear everything through the walls - which was actually helpful for us because we could hear the baby that slept in the room right above us. Didn’t even need the monitor. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely come again!

The host Cameron was spot on with how wonderful this area is, awesome communication day in and day out as well. Beautiful little living place anyone could ask for! With easy access to the beach and food spots for food lovers. Cameron’s house was cozy and such a relaxing spot to be in. 10/10 would definitely stay here again for future visits!

The Nordic Cabin was a beautiful place to stay! The house looks just like the pictures and the outside is very serene! Would love to come back and stay again!

A few of us stayed at Mariana's for a girl's weekend to go to local events- and had a wonderful stay! The apartment was really aesthetic and perfect for a girl's trip, and we loved cooking in the kitchen as she had every appliance we needed, and loved the fireplace. Everything was cozy, well described, and had everything we could have needed! Mariana was friendly and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We'd recommend this for anyone wanting a cozy getaway!

Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cabin. It was pristinely clean and smelled amazing, like new wood. The decor is very tasteful with a cozy ambiance. The kitchen is equipped for cooking and the wood burning fireplace keeps the whole space toasty. You can hear the nearby brook with the windows open. The soaking tub is incredible. We truly enjoyed our stay! It’s an easy drive of 1 hr from NYC, and 10 min to the nearest town for restaurants, groceries etc.

We had a wonderful stay. The setting was serene and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin had everything we needed, was cozy, and we especially enjoyed spending time by the fireplace. It was the ideal spot to unwind over a long weekend. We would absolutely stay here again!

This cabin was very cozy and the surrounding area was very scenic and pretty, as well as quiet and peaceful. Kerri allowed my group of friends to shoot our short film outside the house, and it was a great location for filming as well as a great place for some of the crew members to stay overnight and hangout after shoot. We didn't have much free time but we were provided with lots of recommendations of places to checkout nearby and I'd love to maybe rent the place again sometime to explore the scenery. The neighbors were friendly and Kerri gave us very clear and useful information about the house to make our stay easy.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at the Forest Nook in Wurtsboro, NY! She’s by far the most hospitable host we’ve ever encountered! She made us feel like family from the moment we arrived & even baked us a fresh blueberry loaf which was a perfect treat after a long flight! Throughout our stay, she went above and beyond her duties as a host. It honestly felt like we had known her for years. Her cabin is breathtaking, with a million-dollar lake view that we will never forget. From sunrise to sunset, you won't find a more peaceful, quiet, or beautiful spot. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to get away from a big city & want a peaceful, relaxing stay. Everything you need is just a short 15-minute drive away in Middletown, and the drive is an experience in itself, winding through a gorgeous green landscape, as if you're cruising through a lush green forest. Vanessa made our stay incredibly comfortable & unforgettable! We will definitely be returning!

John was a great host who answered all of my questions immediately! The cabin was very cozy and we all had a great time.
