Thomas Bains Cottage, rustic farmhouse views

Rustic old farmhouse, amazing views and lovely porch. The house was build by Thomas Bain in 1862 while he was building the Prince Alfreds Pass and have original yellow wood floors and ceilings which we are still busy restoration. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place . Enjoy the country side. Hiking trails available. Relax and find yourself again. Be part of our story of the Restoration of Thomas Bains Mansion. Stables - Hillside Guest Farm

A fully off-grid experience, surrounded by the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains and an hour or so drive from George, Oudtshoorn and surrounds. Unit is furnished to accommodate 4 (four) guests and is also fenced and pet-friendly. While there are no hiking trails on the farm, we are close to many of the Garden Route's scenic hikes. Enjoy beautiful views, peace and spectacular stargazing. The unit does not have wi-fi and cell service is limited, and is accessed via farm (dirt) roads - see Notes.

Oudeberg Lodge - secluded in Baviaans Mega Reserve

A free standing "farm house" set in a majestic nature reserve. Nestled in the Baviaans Mega Reserve - the homestead is located privately off the R332 40 kilometers east of Willomore. Four kilometers of "jeep track" stretches up to the house which stands proudly in 3000 hectares of protected lands. Away from the bustle of the city and demands of technology enjoy endless vistas of the rolling mountains and valleys ...with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets it is an unique, unforgettable stay.

The Candle Cottage

Queen size bed with private bathroom, sitting area and fully equipped kitchen. Located in the Klein Karoo, between both entrances into the Baviaanskloof. Homey, eclectic decor in small, rustic cottage on a working farm. Wifi, clean air and 30 billion stars included. Meals are available on request. Single mattresses for additional guests available on request. Bring your binoculars, as we have free ranging kudu, klipspringers, duiker, dassies, tortoises and black eagles.

Syphonia Safaris

Syphonia Safaris is located on the outskirts of Baviaanskloof and is ideal for visitors who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and experience country life. The house comprises of 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is also a flatlet with outside bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The living area has a fireplace. There is a fire pit outside where guests can sit back, relax, roast marshmallows, and gaze at the stars.

Still Waters House - Mountain Pastures Game Lodge

This quaint cottage is set apart and built on the edge of a lake. It comprises of 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has en-suit bathroom and the 2nd bathroom is to share. This cottage is ideal for six adults all rooms can be set up as twin beds. Main bedroom converts to a king bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, sitting area in front of a stone hearth fireplace. The deck has a beautiful view over the mountains and lake.

PANSY-Historical Farm Homestead

A self catering cottage nestled in the heart of the peaceful country-side. The cottage is from the previous century set in the cape mountains where with natural cape fynbos and breathtaking views to explore. The quaint town of Twee Riviere is a typical South African Farming community with the little town of Joubertina nearby that will ensure that guests can still access all the basic facilities like shops, banks and restaurants.

Cloud Cottage

Cloud Cottage is located on Voogsekraal estate. The estate stretches along the mountainous and truly breathtaking Prince Alfred Pass. The estate forms part of the Outeniqua Mountains. This means exquisite views, waterfalls and walks.  The cottage is nestled into the hillside, amidst rockery and fynbos. With no neighbouring farms, cell reception, nor electricity, one is able to experience a true getaway.

Die Weet Jy Green House

Cosy rustic cottages on a working farm where you can enjoy a braai and relax in a hot tub while enjoying splendid views all around you. Very quiet, private and safe, completely away from any hustle and bustle. This gem is situated just 1,5km out of town in Uniondale along a 300m river bank gravel road easily driveable by any vehicle.

Klapperbos - Unique African Experience

Mbewu Fields offers four rustic, well appointed lodges. Each lodge incorporates the surrounding elements, while remaining modern with all necessary amenities for a relaxing, rejuvenating stay in the African bush. Tree House

An authentic adult tree house built into the bows of a growing rooi karee adult tree (rhuslancea). The dwelling is made of a variety of SA wood varieties and shaped around the stem and branches, allowing humans to live functionally within its arms

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin

Soak up the peace and quietness while enjoying the true beauty that nature has to offer. The cabin was completed just before the lockdown. The building of the cabin was started by my husband and completed only 2 years later in remembrance of him.
