Charming Renovated 1930's Soapstone Workers' Bungalow Relaxing, peaceful getaway in gorgeous Nelson County. Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!

Our home is set in the Virginia countryside, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, yet just a short drive from Wintergreen Resort and the scenic Brew Ridge Parkway. With direct access to the Tye River, guests can enjoy kayaking, and tubing, weather and river conditions permitting. Special rates are, available for extended stays. It is only a short drive from Lynchburg yet is also convenient to other area attractions, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Mt. Pleasant Scenic Area, Wintergreen Resort, and an assortment of local restaurants, wineries, and breweries, including the Rt. 151 "Brew Ridge Trail."
