Hang out on the deck or at the firepit enjoying mountain, river and valley views. Spend afternoons hiking countless trails nearby. But most of all, come do a little bit of nothing.

The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

Timber Creek: Falls - A Shenandoah Cabin

Nestled on 8 acres, the Timber Creek Falls A-frame sits on the Shenandoah National Park border overlooking a beautiful cascading waterfall. A 90-min drive from DC, this cabin getaway will have you unwinding in tranquility. A hot tub offers views stretching 50mi to West Virginia on a clear day, and the closest neighbor is a half mile away. A truly private retreat comes w/ modern conveniences including: EV charger, smart devices, flat-screen TV, standing desk, wood burning stove & spa bathrobes.

Smells of the forest. Sights of the mountain. Conveniences of home. Welcome to our little secret in Shenandoah! Our chalet is situated on the hills surrounding Shenandoah Valley. Walk 25 minutes to the river. Drive 10 minutes to the national park entrance and Skyline Drive. Roads are in excellent condition year-round. Your guest suite is on the ground floor, recently finished, with a private entrance (separate from the main house), with access to outdoor space, deck, swings, fire pit etc.

John Pope Cabin Browntown Va. We now have Starlink

Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. An inviting front porch with swing is waiting for you @walnuthillcabin

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Come get away to our cozy guest cabin, just 10 mins from Shenandoah National Park and a 5 min walk to the Shenandoah River! Perfect for a peaceful stay in a gorgeous natural setting. High ceilings, open concept, wood panelling and a private enclosed patio. Close to vineyards, breweries and outdoor attractions. (Please note, there isn't a full kitchen) If you have more than 3 guests, please let us know. We have a second cabin on the property that we can offer as an additional space.
