Outdoor activity includes hammocks, swimming, boating (canoe, kayaks, john boat). For fishing we have boats, nets & fish-dressing station (bring poles & bait). About 13 miles from Palmyra and Monroe, nearest gas and groceries.

Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the lake, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Spacious 1,012 square ft upper level condo at Mark Twain Lake is just over a mile from Spalding Swimming Beach and a mile from Spalding Boat Ramp. Jellystone is about ½ mile up the road and The Water Zone waterpark is across the street from the condo entrance. The kitchen/dining area/living room are all open and leads to a private balcony deck for more space or relaxing during dinner. Washer and dryer, 2 full baths, and a loaded kitchen make a perfect, relaxing stay!

This cute house is on a working alternative farm that raises grass-fed beef and lamb. If you want to get away from the busy life, come sit on the porch and watch the sunset. A state park is close for kayaking and canoeing. There are some very nice restaurants and wineries close by or you can cook in the large kitchen. There are some great biking trails and horse back riding in the conservation area that's 2 miles away.
