Ruth’s property at Woodend North was a beautiful place to stay and would recommend to others. The property is situated away from noise, apart from nature with the birds and very occasional cow mooing. A lovely place to relax. My small dog was with us and the place was safe and enclosed for her to run around she enjoyed it. Breakfast the next day provided by Ruth was healthy and delicious with some homemade products. If only we were there more than one night. The town of Woodend North is picturesque, with great places to eat a less than 10min drive away. We would stay again if the opportunity arose. Make sure to follow Ruth’s directions, as maps Apps can take you along a dirt road that could get boggy if there’s of rain. Lucky for us it was Summer and sunny.

This was our third time staying here and there’s a reason we keep coming back! It’s gorgeous and so peaceful - would definitely recommend.

Wayne's place is fabulous for a group. The home and garden are beautiful, and we were lucky enough to experience both a stunning sunrise and sunset from the property. The kitchen had everything needed for our group of 10 including a nice selection of teas and coffee pods. Wayne was great at communicating and checked in regularly to ensure everything was OK. Our only issue was that despite ensuring that no food was left in the bedrooms, there was a rat in one of the bedrooms. Fortunately, we were able to patch up the hole in the fly screen where a window had been left open prior to our arrival.

We loved staying at duck tree lodge, a perfect base for exploring Woodend and beyond! House had everything we could have asked for and was super cosy. The hosts were terrific and very helpful! The kids loved it!

Such a lovely space and so well set out. We really enjoyed our night and could ask for nothing. Couldn’t recommend more highly and would stay again anytime.

A gorgeous retro farmhouse in a stunning location. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the birds and enjoying the view. Great hosts. Highly recommend.

Great place to relax and be device free. Lovely fire. The kids enjoyed the access to the tennis court. Just a short drive to the fantastic walks at Hanging Rock.

Our family had a wonderful time at Ricardo's house. Some family members were initially hesitant about the price but at the end of our stay everyone agreed that it was worth it and had a great time. The house was roomy enough to accommodate our group of 10, was tastefully decorated and had spectacular views from the floor to ceiling windows. There were lovely little touches upon our arrival: a handwritten welcome note, some delicious home-baked almond Sicilian cookies, and fresh eggs and milk in the fridge. The animals (alpacas and sheep) were entertaining and I grew particularly fond of a dear black-faced sheep who was often away from the rest of the flock, waiting near the fence wanting to be fed, like an enthusiastic puppy. Ricardo responded to all of our queries quickly and practically, which made our stay smooth and incident-free. The house was well-equipped and didn't want for anything.

Everything about this place was absolutely perfect! Beautiful nestled away in nature, animals on your door step and a lot of privacy. The home itself was gorgeous, we really loved the decor and small details. Liz was a super responsive host and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We really loved our stay, thank you so much!

The scenery was truly beautiful with so much to appreciate such as the vines, gardens and native bush. Loved hearing the birds, especially the kookaburras. It was the perfect stay to rest and also spend quality time with family. Lots of landscape to explore and towns such as Lancefield close by.

My 2 night stay at Kate's place in Kyneton was simply delightful. The accommodation was located on a rise overlooking a beautiful scene and had everything I needed, was clean and most comfortable. Kate was so lovely to message me to let me know I had left an item behind and made it easy to pick it up. Great cabin, gorgeous town, highly recommend.

An amazing very well appointed cottage with every item you could need. For a small two person studio sized cottage it offered enough space both inside and out to chill. Amazing is the best way to describe it. Peaceful, comfortable and fresh & clean. I could only recommend this place highly, for a couple looking for a quiet retreat and peaceful couple of nights it was ideal. Heather was responsive and the whole process was easy. Well done Heather on a great set up!

Jo- Anne's place was lovely! Very clean, easy to get to and the views of the farm are really good. Jo-Anne was also a very gracious and helpful host with lovely little touches to make her guests feel welcome and at home.

My partner and I had an amazing stay, with breakfast included to get you going, it does make a difference! The property was very nice to wander around and the house itself had a nice homey vibe to it. It had everything you need along with the heated floors in the bathroom! Would recommend to anybody looking for a private and relaxing get away!

Our group (2 families) stayed overnight for a getaway weekend and had a positive experience. The hosts were very responsive and very flexible with check in and check out times so it was very well received by us given the short time stay and children logistics etc. The house was very clean, comfortable, homely, with helpful additions like fruits and pancake mix to make breakfast with. A short drive to Mount Macedon so we enjoyed various activities locally.

Kendell and Paul were absolutely lovely hosts. Their property was amazing, perfect location for kids and the family. So nice to wake up and take some chicken eggs, have access to the pool and a place for a walk. We loved our stay here, it felt comfortable and welcoming. Kendell is a great host with an amazing attention to detail in her listing, responses and place. 10/10 recommend.

We stayed for two nights with our elderly parents and a toddler. There were lots of toys and books to keep our toddler busy. We enjoyed the house, it had everything we needed to cook dinners and afternoon tea. We said hi to the cows as well. Highly recommended!

Look no further! This is where you need to stay! Attached to her house, but totally private, is a beautiful little room with a kitchen and bathroom. Great funky furnishings and decorations, Lynne’s place has all you need (and more) for a comfortable stay. You can tell she has considered everything, including enough food and snacks to sustain you throughout your stay - all vegan friendly. Lynne is so lovely, she welcomed me and my husband with our three-year old and 6-month old. Meeting all the animals and wandering around the farm was definitely the highlight, especially for the kids, followed closely by the amazing sunsets and sunrises! Go ahead and book this place. You won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at Dee’s place. It is a beautiful peace of heaven in the middle of nature, surrounded by forest and wildlife. We felt so comfortable. Thank you so much!

We recently enjoyed a truly relaxing stay at this beautiful vineyard/farm stay at Newham. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the calm and serene surroundings, making it the perfect escape from the hustle of daily life. The accommodation was spotless—clean, tidy, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the board games, pool table, and firepit, which made for cozy evenings filled with fun and laughter. The location was another highlight, being close to Hanging Rock, allowing for easy access to explore the stunning landscapes nearby. Whether unwinding by the fire or indulging in some friendly competition at the games table, every aspect of this stay was truly enjoyable. Apologies for the delay in posting this review, but this stay was absolutely excellent, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway!
