This inviting cabin offers rustic charm and modern amenities. The open living area with a cozy wood stove is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with loved ones. On the rear deck, a sauna, hot tub, gas fire table and pizza oven are available. We provide a kayak for guests to enjoy on nearby Sand Run Lake.

Conveniently located 2 hrs from DC, 45 minutes from Harrisonburg, and only 12 minutes from Bayse/Bryce Ski Resort. Only a 15 min drive to I-81 to conveniently access all the Shenandoah Valley has to offer

Winter has arrived and we are no strangers to snow. Venture into wild or stay cozy by our fireplace and marvel at nature through the huge living room windows. Beyond the cabin only the vast GW National Forest. Our cabin offers all modern amenities including high speed wifi, central air, and a gourmet kitchen. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. The cabin is a stone throw from lakes and endless trails. Or maybe go skiing? But be warned - you may not wish to leave once you put your feet up!

Get comfortable with mountain views and fresh, clean air at 3,200' altitude, close to Canaan Valley/Blackwater Falls State Parks. Also, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob (highest point of WV). An adventurous, scenic drive goes to Parsons, with the only McDonald's and traffic light in the county. Relax on the back deck to view the horse pasture and the small private airport.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !
