I had wonderful stay at Bill’s place, property was exactly as described — cozy,clean and well-maintained. Bill was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to relax and unwind while being close to Dorset Tower. I especially enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and the ability to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Dorset area — whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a solo trip to recharge. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent séjour! Allez y avant fin 2025! Lieu propre et cozy, nous nous y sommes très bien senties ! Il y a des places sur le parking, des équipements suffisant pour un séjour en gîte, et même des jeux de société. Vous trouverez également des petits guides sur les lacs et restaurants environnants. Proche de toutes commodités tout en vous plongeant dans un écrin de nature! Un grand merci !!

Overall good. Might be a one off but I had loud neighbour's who blasted their music all day and night until they went to bed.

Vraiment triste que ce soit le dernier hiver du Nomade, nous allons nous ennuyer de cette magnifique auberge où nous avons passé de si beaux week-ends. Tout était parfait ici, l’ambiance, les chambres, le prix, le lieu, je serais revenu encore pendant plusieurs années! Bonne chance avec vos nouveaux projets, merci pour tout!

Merci pour le beau séjour, nos enfants ont adorés jouer avec les vôtres. Pour ceux qui aiment la nature, l'endroit est fantastique. La boulangerie est excellente et nous leur souhaitons la meilleure des chances pour la suite.

Parissa was the best! When we arrived, she showed us around the house and made us feel very welcomed, just like living in your house. She responded to any questions we had very quickly. Plus, we were able to rent kayaks from them and the price was worth it. The room was amazing, the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Parissa also prepared us delicious breakfast, better than hotel's food. She went above and beyond in everything! I 1000% recommend staying here!

Wir haben im Cedarhaus unsere letzten zwei Urlaubstage verbracht, da es von dort nicht mehr so weit zum Flughafen ist. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht, die Gastgeber:innen sind überaus freundlich, es war total ruhig und das Haus ist wirklich besonders schön eingerichtet! Das Zimmer wirkte sogar etwas größer als auf den Fotos und man hat durch geschickte Regale viel Stauraum und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Der See ist zwar klein, dadurch aber so wunderbar ruhig und man kann traumhaft entspannt paddeln. In der letzten Nacht gingen wir zum See und sahen Polarlichter! Dann gingen wir im Morgennebel nochmal paddeln, das war der schönste Abschied von Kanada den wir uns vorstellen konnten :)

This is our second stay at the boathouse. Kathy is the best host, she is so friendly and cooks the most amazing breakfast. Her place is absolutely stunning and the lake is quiet with great fishing! The boathouse is a perfect getaway from the city and offers a picturesque view of the lake. We were lucky enough to have clear skies at night with an almost full moon. The way the moon reflected off the glass like water was magical. We will be back for sure! Just as an FYI there is no running water/sink/kitchen in the boathouse and the bathroom is in the main house. Just make sure you prepare for that and you will have an amazing time.
