Absolutely loved our stay our train loving toddler was completely in his element especially with the view of the running trains and the viaduct. It was our first trip away as a family of 4 and we wish we had booked more days! We will definitely be returning

What a fantastic stay we had! Lee was super helpful and patient when we needed to adjust the dates of our stay not once, but twice. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well-equipped with everything we needed for self catering. It was great to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The projector in the lounge was a fabulous, fun addition (my 10 year old watched a lot of YouTube on it...) and it was great to have a regular TV in the kitchen too. Of course, the highlight for us was the hot tub and swim spa -- absolutely outstanding, lovely and warm on arrival (and again, spotlessly clean). Our kids are 12 and 10 and LOVED the swim spa pool. The hot tub is incredible, and my husband and I enjoyed that as the sun was setting (the lights around the garden fence are lovely). The variety of bubble/jet settings were great. Having Lidl, Aldi, and Iceland a 3 minute walk away was very handy, and the big Morrisons is just a few minutes' drive.

Lovely house, parking right outside, nice quiet location, house clean and tidy with lots of little things like tea and coffee available. The furniture was comfortable and good Freesat tv. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and equipment you could need. The bedrooms were light, airy and comfortable with nice bed linen. The bathroom was adequate but the shower let it down slightly, although it was usable it was a bit tight for anyone tall. I can’t see how any improvement can be made as the bathroom is quite compact, this issue by no means detracts from the overall high standard of the house. Outside the house overlooks the river with nice lawns, a picnic bench and communal barbecue. Just over the river lies the railway line, you can hardly hear the trains but get to watch the steam trains going past. The road is a dead end with no passing traffic other than other residents so very quiet. All in all ‘top notch’.

Absolutely beautiful house!! EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for a few days away! We had 4 generations there to celebrate my 60th birthday and everything was perfect!! We’ve only been left a few hours and the grandchildren are asking when can we go again?? We would all love to return in the future!!

A perfect spot for a family gathering ! Easy to find and just a short walk into the centre of town. We loved the space, immaculate well presented rooms, cosy warm around the Aga and comfortable shared spaces. Plenty of parking and great for our dog, and a communicative and helpful host. Couldn’t fault it, would definitely recommend!

What a beautiful place! We stayed as a family of 6 adults and 5 children, the children ranged in age from 15-3 and the house suited everyone. The kids loved the garden and the grandparents loved the places you could go for a little relax. The view from the top back bedroom is a beautiful sea view - just fabulous. The location is perfect for Runswick Bay beach and a walk along the Cleveland Way. It’s also a short drive to Sandsend and Staithes. The property is immaculate and is very well equipped for everything you might need. Highly recommended .

Thanks to Sarah for letting us stay. The place is so convenient for the beach and it was such a treat to have a house to retreat back to. Great communication from the host (we needed assistance working the heating). We hope to come back again!

We had a great stay here. Location was spectacular and peaceful, away from the bustle of Whitby but close enough to walk 15 minutes down cinder track. Lockable storage for 2 bikes if you need it. House comfortable with well equipped kitchen. Thoroughly recommend!

An excellent property. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The beach is huge and lovely. Plenty of space in the house. TVs, games, DVDs provided. Comfortable beds, cupboards and chests of drawers. Large kitchen with all equipment provided. Easy walk into town and we had a great walk to the coast and lighthouse across the fields. Enjoyed a good meal at the local Thai restaurant and bought food, shoes and clothing in the town. Whitby is a great destination for trips all over the area.

A beautifully renovated property right in the heart of Whitby beautifully presented and absolutely spotless spacious dining room and kitchen which has everything you need. All the bedrooms have really comfortable beds with either a bath or a shower, lovely toiletries in the bedroom and shower room rooms welcome pack on arrival with wine, biscuits, cake and milk, which was also a lovely touch. There was a query around the parking permit which Lea dealt with very quickly we all fell in love with the house would we stay again … Absolutely 💯 xx

Had an amazing 3 night stay. Was affordable, comfortable, clean and above all dog friendly. Felt like a home from home. Will definitely be going back.

Our second visit and once again excellent. Very good location - close to all the amenities of Whitby but in a quiet location.

We stayed at Karen & Charlie’s cottage over the Christmas period, it was decorated beautifully and had absolutely everything we needed to make our trip memorable. The cottage is set in a lovely village with a fantastic pub literally 2 mins walk. Karen was brilliant when it came to communication and check in couldn’t have been easier. We all loved the cottage and would highly recommend a stay here.

Had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable for 5 people, and more I’m sure. Great size rooms and nice big bathrooms. Fantastic kitchen that made you feel right at home. Lovely to be on the farm, very peaceful with wonderful views. Helen was great with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.
