Reelfoot should really be a national park. The state park is great, but also take a drive out on the levee parallel to the Mississippi River and scout out all the eagles there. You can spend a full day there for sure.

This is my favorite part of Reelfoot Lake. There is a 4 mile loop that can be driven by car or a great place to walk if you want some exercise. The birds here are AMAZING. I've seen Bard Owls and Pileated Woodpeckers every time I've been and much more. It's also a great place to kayak or canoe and there is a place to rent these if needed.

David and I both teach at UTM. It's a wonderful university academically and a beautiful campus. Plenty of green spaces for walks and the Quad area is always beautiful if you want to visit. Let us know if you need a tour and we can help set it up.

Nice place to go and take a long walk and only a 15 minute drive. Certainly a must if you have business in Martin while you are here.
