This is a lake that was created by an earthquake back in the 1800s and has many places to go eat and site see!

Tennessee is filled with beautiful state parks. Reelfoot Lake State Park is another one of those day drive we like to do sometimes. This 15,000 acre lake was created by a series of violent earthquakes in 1811-1812 that caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards for a short period of time, creating Reelfoot Lake. About a 2 hour drive one way. 2595 Highway 21 East Tiptonville, TN. 38079

Reelfoot should really be a national park. The state park is great, but also take a drive out on the levee parallel to the Mississippi River and scout out all the eagles there. You can spend a full day there for sure.
