Meals are unique and well-prepared, and it is fun for adults and is also family-friendly. We love the fig jam/prosciutto pizza, the chicken quesadillas, and all of the salads and burgers.

The water is almost always chilly, but it's not usually unbearably cold. Paddle boards, kayaks, small boats, and rafts are all fun things to bring here. The fishing is pretty good, but the fish are usually smaller and are often endangered cutthroat species, which are illegal to keep. Several stunning hikes (with waterfalls!!) further up the road. Great place for kids/dogs/families/solo adventurers/groups... just about everyone!
Note: the gate to reach hyalite is closed in the winter months

Notes: bring bathing suits, change of clothes, crocs/river shoes/ towels. There is a semi-long trail from the parking lot to the soaking spot, so don't come barefoot. There is no place to change except a restroom at the very beginning of the trail. And because it is in a river (there has been a natural pool created with rock walls), you should keep close watch on children if you are traveling with them.

Probably the most upscale hot springs in this area. There are two pools and a spa, as well as a restaurant and hotel and probably some other good stuff. Chico is near Yellowstone and makes for a fun day trip!
